About the Foundation.
Our Mission
The Stay Classy Foundation was born out of StayClassy.org's desire to give something back to the community in which it was founded, San Diego. It's mission is simple: to bring together members of the community, other non-profits, city officials, and local companies to accomplish good. We do this by leading a variety of social and environmental initiatives that members of the community can volunteer their support to. We also do this virtually, by providing Stay Classy members with an online resource for donating to more than 1.5 million charities across the United States. Our Short Little History
The Stay Classy Foundation is a relatively new organization, having been founded in late 2006 by StayClassy.org. We were granted our 501(c)3 status by the IRS in May of 2007, and immediately began building the structure for our social and environmental initiatives to be rolled out in 2008. The Foundation represents a significant expansion of StayClassy.org's mission to actively participate in our communities. Small organizations with big hearts! The creation of this Foundation provides a direct connection between Stay Classy members, employees, and volunteers with residents and organizations within the San Diego community. We hope by building this bridge we will inspire a unique and powerful partnership, where Stay Classy and members of the community can be the driving force of many large philanthropic initiatives across the county.
